General information only
GLP.directory provides journalism and general educational information about access to GLP-1 care. Nothing on the site or in the newsletter is medical advice, a diagnosis, a prescription, a treatment recommendation, or an instruction to start, stop, switch, combine, or change the dose of a medicine. Reading or contacting the site does not create a clinician-patient relationship.
Ask a licensed clinician
Prescription treatment requires an independent evaluation by a qualified, licensed clinician who can review your history, other medicines, allergies, contraindications, pregnancy status, symptoms, and goals. Do not delay or disregard professional advice because of something published here. A provider’s inclusion, score, award, or commercial relationship is not a clinical endorsement.
Emergencies and adverse events
This site does not monitor messages for emergencies. Call the emergency number that applies where you are or go to the nearest emergency department. Contact your clinician promptly about side effects or medication concerns. In the United States, patients and health professionals may also report serious problems involving FDA-regulated products through FDA MedWatch; readers elsewhere should use the applicable national reporting route.
Compounded drugs
Compounded drugs are not FDA approved. FDA does not verify their safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are marketed. Compounding can meet an important patient need in certain circumstances, but it is not the same as an FDA-approved generic product. Discuss the reason for compounding, the prescriber, the dispensing pharmacy, ingredients, storage, dosing, and alternatives with a licensed professional. See the FDA’s compounding questions and answers.
Changing information
Drug labeling, safety communications, shortages, insurance rules, provider availability, and prices change. We date source checks and correct material errors, but we cannot guarantee that a page is current, complete, or applicable to you. Consult current official labeling, the regulator that applies in your country, your pharmacist, insurer or payer, and clinician.
No product guarantee
GLP.directory does not manufacture, prescribe, dispense, test, store, or ship medication. It does not guarantee the identity, quality, availability, legality, or suitability of a third-party product or service.
